Parking Garage is an outfit of alt rockers based out of Athens, Georgia, working with a zesty mix of funk, garage rock, shoegaze, pop punk, blues, and emo into a blend they refer to as "salt rock." Murder The Mood is an Athens local band and has been performing between Athens and Atlanta for 10 years. We mix our original music with covers from My Chemical Romance. We also perform annual cover shows for Christmas at The 40 Watt as well as Halloween at The World Famous.

Sweet Meteor of Death

Sweet Meteor Of Death was founded in Los Angeles in 2019 by Eamon Glennon. A high power fusion of garage rock and psychobilly with strands of DNA cloned directly from seminal 1970’s punk and 90’s alternative rock. The result is a truly original stripped down rock and roll three piece with furious riffs and great sense of humor. SMOD has played all the usual rock and roll bars in LA including a couple visits to the Whiskey a Go Go on the sunset strip. Eamon reformed SMOD when he relocated to Atlanta in 2021 and discovered the perfect lineup with Chris Cummo (formerly of McMansions) on drums and James Darrell Ditty (former bass player for country legend “ “). SMOD has since then been burning up the Atlanta scene and has plans to take over planet earth.

Kyle Lewis is a Boring Name

Kyle Lewis is a Boring Name refreshes sounds from indie rock, emo, folk punk, and avant pop in an amalgamation that’s playful, dramatic, humorous, and somehow full of show-tunes-esque vocal harmonies. Recent concertgoers describe the band as "a lot of fun," "super refreshing," and "WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING RIGHT NOW." Kyle Lewis fronts the Atlanta-based band with 6’2 of golden retriever energy despite his moniker being the most “John Smith” name since John Smith himself.

Band

Garden Variety is an Athens, Georgia-based five-piece funk band. They perform both original compositions and covers of 70’s funk and soul classics. Formed in 2020 by music students at the University of Georgia, they won a battle of the bands there in April 2022. Influenced by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, and Vulfpeck, they are making their mark on the Athens music scene, bringing with them a unique blend of funk, jazz, soul and rock.

Tales of mystery & suspense, unknown terrors, and gothic romance. Burlesque performer turned femme fatale frontwoman, Adrianne Blanks leads a band of wickedly talented and versatile musicians conjuring a unique musical style of cocktail noir with a playful point of view sure to put you in the mood for a sensual spin across the dance floor. Inspired by the colorful world of Jacques Demy and evocative of the 1960s, the band provides a soundtrack of jazz & swing to Adrianne’s speakeasy storytelling of paranormal phenomena, vampires, witches, metropolitan murderesses and deep-sea monsters with sonorities that range from as lush as a Bond film to gritty as vintage surf rock.

If you were to ask Fletcher what he wanted to do when he grew up, he would have excitedly told you he wanted to be a magician. Well, although he didn’t grow up, it is safe to say that with over 2,000 shows and more than a decade of experience, he did achieve his goal. Fletcher has spent his life perfecting his craft and has his own unique style of comedy-driven magic that will leave you not only astonished but keeling over in laughter as well. Some things can’t be put into words, so I guess you’ll just have to see it to believe it.

Karma Kat is a local Athens band that blends rock and jazz to create an innovative indie sound. The band is young, but their sound is mature and soulful. The band was created by vocalist Carley Rogers in 2023 who wanted to create a sound that is new and unique to the Athens scene. The group is a multi-instrumentalist and multifaceted blend of creatives. The lead singer is Carley Rogers, lead guitarist is Nick Christian, Seth Parker is the drummer, and Juan Ochoa is the bassist. These Kats will rock your socks off!
